Donate money for Tribal Martyrs

The Kuki people in Nagaland on Saturday have donated money for the Tribal Martyrs who were killed in Churachandpur district during violent incidents on August 31 and September 1 .
Seiboi Haokip, general secretary KSO GHQ Manipur said that Kuki community in Nagaland has donated a sum of Rs 35,000/- for the Tribal Martyrs, which was handed over to the KSO GHQ on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Kuki Inpi Assam (KIA), an apex body of the Kukis in Assam, has strongly opposed the introduction and passing of the three bills in the special session of the Manipur Legislative Assembly which according to the KIA led to the collapse of law and order in Manipur and infringement of rights of the hill tribals.
The KIA in its statement signed by the Dr T Haolai, president KIA and Changsan Lamhen, general secretary strongly condemned the high handedness of Manipur Police Force in controlling the protestors leading to the death of eight tribal youths including a 10 years old school boy.
It sought a CBI enquiry into the death of the innocent tribal youths and urged for punishment to the guilty personnel according to law of the land.
The Kuki Inpi Assam also urged the Manipur Chief Minister to clear all apprehensions regarding the bills and revoke and the bills in the larger interest of the indigenous hill people of Manipur for restoring normalcy at the earliest.
