LDA extends soothing balm to inmates

Loktak Authority Development Chairman and BJP Manipur Pradesh spokesperson M Asnikumar in collaboration with All Meetei Medico Union (AMMU) Manipur organised a free medical camp at a relief camp site in Laishoi village under Bishnupur district today.
The medical camp was led by senior specialists Dr Kameshore and Dr Paikhomba with the participation of more than 20 doctors.
As a part of the medical camp, a plethora of essential medicines were distributed free of cost.
Speaking to reporters by the sideline of the medical camp, M Asnikumar expressed anguish over the prevailing situation adding that as a Manipuri, this is the lowest one has felt.
He stated that Manipur's diversity and the unique ability ofits different communities to thrive off each other's cultures and experiences have always been its strength.
Adding that the communities have always supported each other in times of adversity, he opined that what has happened is deeply heartbreaking.
He urged the people to step back, reflect and realise that the efforts and sacrifices people need to make to achieve peace and harmony are more important than anything else.
The LDA Chairman added that the State and Central Government are working tirelessly to ensure restoration of normalcy in the State.
At this juncture, the cooperation and support of the general public is crucial, he said.
He also thanked the doctors and paramedical staff of AMMU for their noble and generous gesture of organising a free medical camp for displaced families.
