Like Minded Group extends aid to displaced people

Imphal, May 13 2023:
Like Minded Group (LMG) Manipur in continuation of its philanthropic activities, donated relief materials to around 400 displaced people following the communal violence which started on May 3 last.
The displaced people have been taking refuge in numerous shelter camps across the State.
LMG in a press release said that the Group donated edible items, clothes and other essential items including first aid kits, water bottles, sanitary pads, t6rch light, chappals etc to relief camp opened at Ideal Girls' College, Akampat.
As a part of such activities, LMG also donated relief materials to Moirangthem Bishwajit, his wife Juboti and their three children whose house have been put to cinders in the communal violence in Churachandpur.
Currently they are taking shelter at Samurou Naorem Chaprou.
Today's distribution drive was led by LMG president L Kunjeshwar Sharma accompanied by advisory board members Manglem Waikhom and Keke Wahengbam; secretary Ojit Sorokhaibam; publicity secretary Rakesh Naorem and members Surendra Ningomba;
Kunjeshwar Mangsatabam; Birala Salam; Geetchandra and Arun among others.
It is worth noting that Like Minded Group has donated relief materials worth Rs 80, 000 approximately till date to various relief centres across the State and will continue its activities of extending best possible aid to the affected people.
