Three hurt in poll related violence at Keirao Assembly Constituency

Poll related violence gripped Kyamgei Muslim Takhok Makha under Keirao Assembly Constituency yesterday at around 8.30 pm, leaving three persons injured.
In the incident, one Kia XUV car was also badly damaged.
Reportedly, one person identified as Md Shahudddin (44) of Kyamgei Muslim Takhok Makha sustained bullet injuries in his left thigh.
He has been admitted to Raj Medicity.
The other two, Rahmatun (30), w/o Md Azad Khan and Memis (28) w/o Md Mohsin were hurt while trying to control the situation.
Both of them are also residents of Kyamgei Muslim Takhok Makha.
They are out of danger.
According to reports culled from the spot, Md Shahudddin is a vegetable vendor at Irilbung Bazar.
Claiming that he was attacked while returning with his brother Md Mohsin in one KIA SUV car by about 50 people led by NPP supporter Shaheed Kapoor using lethal weapons near his house, the report continued that he, however, managed to escape the attackers and rushed home.
Further claiming that the NPP workers followed him upto his house at Kyamgei Muslim Takhok Makha and fired shots, the report alleged that one bullet hit the left thigh of the vegetable vendor.
According to police, the bullet was fired by one Md Rakibuddin, s/o Ayajuddin from Kiyamgei Muslim Awang Leikai who is a personnel of Thoubal commando.
From the site of the incident, an empty case of a 9mm pistol was recovered, said police.
A case has been registered at Irilbung police station.
