Imphal, February 24 2022:
JD-U candidate in Thangmeiband assembly constituency MLA Kh Joykisan has said that outsiders who have no knowledge of the political atmosphere in Thangmeiband carrying out poll campaign will prove to be futile.
Attending an election campaign meeting held at Langol Tarung ground on Thursday, Joykisan said that BJP minister Th Biswajit is conducting poll campaign for the BJP candidate in Thangmeiband AC every day but it will not bring any benefit to the BJP candidate.
He also alleged that the BJP candidate is trying to bribe the electors with promise of offering cash up to Rs 50,000, shop plots or government jobs as he is aware of his imminent defeat.
People of Thangmeiband will never listen to a minister, who stops road projects being taken up in the constituency, Joykisan said.
He questioned the motive behind the delay in the road project for Watham Leirak and also charged the BJP candidate of being a fraud and corrupt person, who was involved in a fraud case regarding chemical supply.
JD-U Manipur in-charge and MPs from Bihar Ramprit Mandal and Sunil Kumar Pintu, who also attended the event, expressed their confidence that JD-U will be part of the next government in the state and Joykisan will become a minister.
Meanwhile, Hijam Nutanchandra, who is the INC candidate in Thangmeiband AC, released a vision document, which enumerates works he would take up for the people of the constituency, if elected.
