ADC Bill : HAC calls on Union Ministers

Imphal, October 01 2021:
Hill Area Committee (HAC) team led by its Chairman Leishiyo Keishing and MP Dr Lorho Pfoze accompanied by tribal MLAs met more Union Ministers on Friday.
MP Dr Lorho and MLA TN Haokip met Bhupendra Yadav, Union Minister of Forest, Environment & Climate Change, Labour & Employment to apprise him of the present state of affairs being faced by the tribals of Manipur.
Moreover, the HAC team also met former Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal now Union Minister of Ports, Shipping & Waterways, AYUSH to congratulate him on his election to the Rajya Sabha and apprised him of the tribals of Manipur and their grievances.
Earlier on Thursday, the tribal leaders met Union Ministers including Amit Shah, G Kishan Reddy, Pratibha Bhowmik, MP RK Ranjan and others.
The team is currently camping at the National Capital.
With alleged political stalemate between tribal MLAs and the ruling Government over the issue of ADC Bill 2021 proposed by the HAC still lingering, the visit to New Delhi is expected to see new political developments in the next few weeks as assured by Union Ministers.
