International Day of Older Persons celebrated

Churachandpur, October 01 2021:
International Day of Older Persons was observed today at New Mata village as part of Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav.
The programme was jointly organised by the District Social Welfare Office, Churachandpur and Social Human Action for Rural Empowerment (SHARE) Society, Mata.
It was attended by Pawan Yadav, Deputy Commissioner CCpur; A Tamphasana Devi, DSWO and Lallunkam, Chief of Mata as presidium members.
Later, gifts were presented to older persons.
Besides, a SVEEP campaign was also organised wherein District Nodal officer for SVEEP H Doungel, Dy D/OSD, NYK sensitised the older persons present about voters' awareness during and before election time.
Doungel said that people above 80 years need not stand in queue to cast their votes.
They can cast their votes from their home in the coming election by just informing the concerned BLOs.
