Imphal, November 03 2021:
The three individuals who were arrested for their alleged involvement in the October 12 B Gamnom firing incident had no connection or were involved in the B Gamnom incident wherein 3 people including a minor were killed during a funeral service.
Kakai Singsit, guardian of Seigoulun Singsit one of the arrested individuals said this at a press conference held at the Manipur Press Club today and added that the three arrested individuals, Seigoulun Singsit, Hentinseh Singsit and Henminlun Misao were all drug users and had no connection with the firing incident.
Neither are they cadres of KNF (N) as claimed by the police.
Hentinseh Singsit is a known drug user from K Phoipi, Motbung in Kangpokpi district who had been kept at New Life Rehab Centre in Imphal since the last 4 months and had come home on October 15, he told the media.
The family members and a team of media had visited the rehab centre and some of the inmates confirmed that Hentinseh was in the centre till October 15 .

Kakai Singsit ridiculed the claim of the police that Hentiseh was involved in the incident and added it "could have been possible only if Hentiseh has got wings or is Superman" .
On the other hand, Seigoulun Singsit is a juvenile (born on November 14, 2003), aged 17 and some months and not 20 as claimed by the police, he added.
Kakai Singsit said that they had discovered that Seigoulun was using drugs last month and wanted to keep him at a rehab centre but could not do so due to financial constraints.
Seigoulun, however, never left the village before but had told his mother that he will be joining a Bible camp at Kangpokpi on October 22, but the family members were shocked when they heard that he was arrested by the police on October 24 .
Henminlun Misao is also innocent and he was staying at a rented house with his family in Pangmol village, Kakai Singsit claimed.
Kakai Singsit added that the trio had never set foot on B Gamnom village and do not even know where the village is and urged the Police Department to put into public domain any evidence like when they joined the outfit, their aliases, belt or chest numbers or any photo evidence to prove that were indeed cadres of KNF (N) as claimed.
He alleged that the botched-up arrest clearly showed that something is definitely wrong and questioned why innocent people were being punished to cover up the Government's incompetency and inefficiency.
Kakai Singsit also appealed all the media houses to conduct a thorough investigation to find out if the police version or the families' version is true.
CSOs of the State should also look into the matter as this could create a bad precedent in future if justice is not delivered to the three innocent civilians, he added.
The families appealed the authorities concerned to review their cases and release them at the earliest as the families are being taunted, shamed, humiliated and traumatized by people who are not aware about the truth after their arrest, he said.
