BJP aims 70 pc households under Thambal campaign

BJP Manipur Pradesh secretary Kongkham Vikram has said that the party is targeting to cover 70 per cent of the total household of the state under its Thambal, Campaign ahead of the 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly election.
Interacting with the media during one such event held at Nagamapal Soram Leirak area, he said that the campaign is being organised in different parts of the state under the leadership of BJP state president A Sharda.
The campaign aims to make the public aware about the initiatives taken up by the government and steps to fight the.Covid-19 pandemic.
The target is to reach out to every household but the party is setting a minimum target of covering 70 per cent of the total households of the state, he said.
Regarding the numerous intending candidates seeking BJP ticket in the same assembly constituency, Vikram said that they are seeking the party's ticket due to the works done by the party's government.
He appealed to all the ticket seekers to support the candidate which the party choose in their respective ACs and not to leave the party if they denied the party ticket.
In Thangmeiband, BJP is the only party which is active in poll campaigning and as such, there is strong belief that BJP will wrest the Thangmeiband seat this time, he said.
