IBSD organises interactive prog for researchers

Imphal, May 19 2022:
Institute of Bioresources and Sustainable Development (IBSD), Imphal organised an interactive programme for researchers about various research and development initiative of ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) on Thursday.
During the programme, IBSD director Prof Pulok K Mukherjee highlighted various initiatives of IBSD in developing electronic nose, tongue, etc., for non-invasive quality evaluation of different bioresources.
MeitY scientist Om Krishan Singh highlighted various activities and initiatives of the ministry in electronics sector for the development of products, processes and technologies.
He emphasised on creating R&D ecosystems for societal development and start ups in this region of the country.
He also highlighted many advances in electronics sector for the development of aqua-ponics systems, microelectronics and nanotechnology in the ministry.
IBSD organised the event under the programme on Bio-economy from Bioresources with special reference to North Eastern Region of India under the guidance and leadership of Prof Pulok.
He advised all students to develop innovative proposals under various schemes of the ministry for initiating their own start-ups.
The programme was attended by scientists, scholars and staff of IBSD, Imphal.
