IBSD Imphal organises interactive programme for researchers

Institute of Bioresources and Sustainable Development (IBSD), Imphal organized an interactive programme for researchers about various research and development initiatives of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India today.
As per a press release by IBSD Imphal, during the programme, Professor Pulok K Mukherjee, Director, IBSD, Imphal highlighted different initiatives of IBSD in developing electronic nose, tongue etc.
for non-invasive quality evaluation of different bioresources.
Om Krishan Singh, Scientist, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Govt of India highlighted various activities and initiatives of the Ministry in electronics sector for the development of products, processes and technologies.
He emphasized on creating R and D ecosystems for societal development and start-ups in this region of the country.

He highlighted various advances in the electronics sector for the development of aquaponics systems, microelectronics and nanotechnology.
IBSD has organized this event under the programme on bioeconomy from bioresources with special reference to the North Eastern Region of India under the guidance and leadership of Professor Pulok K Mukherjee.
He advised all the students to develop innovative proposals under various schemes of the Ministry for initiating their own start-ups.
The programme was attended by scientists, scholars, staff of IBSD, Imphal, added the release.
