DC discusses 100 Days Action Plan

Kangpokpi, May 19 2022:
As part of 100 days Action Plan Programme of the state government, Kangpokpi deputy commissioner Zuringla Kengoo met with the District Level Officers to discuss on various programmes/initiatives taken up by government departments in Kangpokpi district.
Keeping in view of the recent torrential rains in the state, she advised the police department to keep a check on the Sangkolei bridge near Motbung on NH-2(Imphal-Kohima road) and regulate vehicular movement.
Regarding the deteriorating conditions of two bridges at Kangchup Geljang, she also asked the Police and PWD departments to cordon off the area and to divert the road to ensure the safety of people.
During the meeting, Forest department informed that following the instruction from the chief minister mass plantation programme will be carried out in Koubru and Singda which are identified catchment areas.
It may be mentioned that 'Save Singda Movement' has already begun with plantation programme carried out under the leadership of Forest Minister Th Biswajit Singh on May 16 .
