Imphal, May 19 2022:
The Rongmei Naga Youth Organisation (RNYO) and National Highway Surveillance Committee (NHSC) have resolved to impose an indefinite bandh on all loaded trucks along Old Cachar road from May 20 noon onwards if their demand to convert the 92.5 km long Old Cachar road to a National Highway and to initiate safety measures like jungle clearance and maintenance work.
A press release jointly issued by RNYO and NHSC appealed to all to support the 'democratic' agitation.
