Health Minister stresses on need of survey of different diseases, updation of health data

Health and IPR Minister Dr Sapam Ranjan Singh has said that a survey of different diseases is needed and its updated data needs to be maintained.
He made the above statement while speaking as the chief guest at the inaugural programme of the "One Day Orientation Programme" for nurses on the theme of "Prevention, Early Identification and Early Intervention of Developmental Disabilities" held at mini auditorium RIMS today.
He said that a major section of the public is unaware of their health status and regular testing of one's health status will help in reducing life risk and expenditure.
He also informed that preventive measures will help to bring a good healthcare system.
Dr Ranjan maintained that the Department of Health, Social Welfare and Education need to work together in mutual coordination.

Necessary measures will be taken up to bring global health, he added.
The Minister further stated that nurses play a vital role in the health care system and appealed to nurses to render their service sincerely and with dedication.
Addressing the gathering Director RIMS, Professor Dr A Shanta said that disability of an individual may be because of the negligence during pregnancy period of a mother.
'We need to be aware of the possible outcomes when we are careless during this stage,' he maintained.
Brogen Singh Akoijam, Dean(Academic), RIMS, Dr Shaik Yaseen Shareef Assistant Professor, CRC, Devanagere, NIEPID Manipur State Coordinator, Rajendra Kumar, Praveen Assistant Professor, Special Education ERC Rajnandgaon, NIEPID Manipur State Coordinator were also present at the occasion.
