Imphal, May 19 2022:
Manipuri Students' Federation (MSF) as a part of its academic campaign 'Eikhoi Lairik Ningthina Tamsi' carried out surprise inspection visits at Moirangkhom Junior High School and Shyamasakhi High School today.
As per a statement by MSF, today's inspection team was led by its General Secretary, Hijam Roshan.
During the visit at Moirangkhom Junior High School, it was found that students didn't come to school today owing to the current weather condition though the teachers were present.
However the situation was disappointing at Shyamasakhi High School where it was found that the teachers have left the school way before the school closing time after signing in which is not called for.
Expressing discontent over such irresponsible acts of the teachers who have been appointed by the Government, MSF urged the authorities concerned to probe the matter at the earliest and take up appropriate measures accordingly.
MSF also stated that a student of the school studying in class 7 was granted holiday by the teachers as he was the lone student of the day.
Reacting against such acts, the student body raised the question of why the student was asked to leave for the day instead of teaching him and motivating him to be a responsible citizen in future.
