CPI candidate Y Roma holds roadshow

As her last campaign programme, CPI candidate from Kakching assembly constituency Y Roma Devi held a roadshow which passed through various parts of the AC on Wednesday.
In a release, CPI Manipur State Council informed that during the roadshow, several people from Pallel, Sorah, Irengband and Kakching lined up along the roads and welcomed hex.
The campaign was also attended by CPI leaders Dr M Nara, L Sotinkumar, Ksh Shanta, All Manipur Nupi Marup leaders Th Sakhi, S Sorojini and L Sumatibala.
Speaking during the programme, Y Roma assured that if elected, she will work for the betterment of the labour class and ensure that they get their deserving rights.
On the other hand, L Sotinkumar stated that BJP is taking the nation down the drain.
It is selling off the Bir Tikendrajit International Airport to private corporations and CPI will oppose it tooth and nail.
He continued that if Y Roma got elected, then an airport will be constructed at the sprawling space near Kakching Lamkhai, which is presently being occupied by security forces.
Authorities concerned would be approached to vacate the security unit from the said land for development to benefit the public, he said.
