Anal Naga Tangpi condemns alleged unethical behaviour of Police commandos at Sugnu

The apex tribal body of Anal society, Anal Naga Tangpi (ANTA) has strongly condemned the unethical behaviour of the Manipur Police commandos at the Sugnu Police Station.
The commandos fired tear gas shells and stun bombs and injured many women on March 2 around 3 pm.
In a statement, ANTA further shared that the situation came about when a group of women demanded the unconditional release of eight persons who had been arrested from Chakpikarongkhupi village under Chakpikarongkhupi Police Station in the morning of March 2 by 37 AR Salluk.
ANTA has demanded the handing over of the arrested eight persons to the Chakpikarongkhupi Police Station and their unconditional release.
ANTA further cautioned that the 37 AR Salluk and Chakpikarongkhupi Police Station must be held responsible for any untoward incidents that follow if they fail to meet ANTA's demands.
