"Fighting for leadership, BJP has ignored development"

NPP national president and Chief Minister of Meghalaya Conrad K Sangma has categorically stated that it will be futile to vote for BJP that is engulfed with infighting for leadership and has neglected development in the state.
Conrad Sangma made the statement while addressing an interactive programme for youths & intellectuals of Kakching AC conducted in view of the second phase of 12th Manipur Assembly Election at Sora today.
He alleged that the BJP in Manipur is divided into many fractions supporting different leaders namely the Chief Minister N Biren Singh; Minister for Public Works, Th Biswajit and Govindas Konthoujam among others.

"How can a party that cannot solve its own problem bring any solution for the people and the state", he asserted.
Claiming that the Congress party that has governed the state for more than a decade has lost the trust of the people, the Meghalaya CM urged the people to support the NPP which is a party of North East India and understands the aspirations and dreams of the people of the region.
Moreover, Deputy Chief Minister, Y Joykumar also alleged that BJP is more focused in advertising than in carrying out development and welfare activities for the people and claimed that NPP will play a major role in the new Government after the election.
