Lecture series on 'human trafficking' underway

A fortnightly lecture series on 'Emerging research trends on human trafficking', which is organised by Centre for Study of Social Exclusion and Inclusive Policy (CSSEIP), Manipur University has begun from Wednesday at the conference hall of the Centre, MU, Canchipur.
The lecture series is being organised with the objective to educate research scholars in adopting new methodologies to achieve better results and to identify appropriate methodologies for use in conducting research on sensitive issues.
According to associate professor Dr Th Bharat of the centre, the lecture series is part of the centre's academic programmes aimed at helping research scholars to get familiarise with new approaches of research.
Research scholars of different branches of social sciences are participating in the lecture series.
On the second day of the lecture series on Thursday, head of Centre for the Study of Social Exclusion; Inclusive Policy, University of Hyderabad (UoH), Hyderabad professor Ajailiu Niumai spoke on challenges faced by victim girls of human trafficking of the state and ways to stay safe from human trafficking.
