Kakching, April 01 2022:
Condemning the sudden replacement of Kha Manipur College principal in-charge amidst the heavy work of Self Study Report (SSR) for NAAC assessment, students of the college on Friday launched protest, closing down the gate and boycotting the new principal in-charge.
Interacting with media persons in this regard, a representative of Kha Manipur College Students' Union recalled that senior-most teacher Dr N Subhaschandra was appointed as the principal in-charge of the college on February 26 after the retirement of the former principal M Sanaton Singh.
Dr Subhaschandra began leading the college in the right way for developing the college and also started processing works for NAAC cycle 2.He has been preparing for completing self-study report (SSR) which is to be submitted in April.
As such, he is needed to be in the college during the college hours, the union maintained, while adding that the sudden replacement of the principal in-charge is illogical.
Moreover, it will also halt the process of NAAC SSR.
The union further appealed to authorities concerned for revoking the order of appointing a new principal in charge and further exhorted not to invite the students to launch intense protest.
