'3 days training programme on Dementia care' concludes

The "3 days training programme on Dementia care" organised by Integrated Rural Development and Educational Organisation ( IRDEO) in collaboration with National Institute of Social Defence (NISD), Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India concluded on Thursday at IRDEO, Regional Resource and Training Centre (RRTC) complex, Wangbal, Thoubal district.
Speaking on the occasion, Ashori Oinam, programme officer of IRDEO, RRTC, AG-NE stated that with the increasing cases of dementia in aged persons, it is high time for everyone to take care of their health to protect themselves from the disease.

Ashori continued that IRDEO has been organising similar training programmes since 2011 to spread awareness on dementia.
The programme officer also appealed to the public to participate in the training programme to learn about the proper ways to take care of elderly persons with dementia.
Dr Gilbert Sunpi, MO District Hospital, Chandel; Dr Pritam Laishram, MO PHC Oinam; and Dr Kh Santikumar, anti aging specialist & senior consultant surgeon of Sky Hospital and Research Centre, Imphal also spoke at the event.
