COTA urges Govt to resolve teachers' issues

Council of Teachers' Association, Manipur (COTA) congratulated the newly formed BJP-led government and N Biren Singh on becoming the chief minister for the second time.
The Council also congratulated Y Khemchand Singh oh being entrusted the charge of Education minister and expressed hope that he will bring about favourable change in the education sector, especially schools education, said a release issued by COTA publicity and information secretary Rubi Kamson.
COTA also drew the attention of the Education minister on issues besetting the teacher community, namely Rectification' of Pay-2019, Modified Assured Career Progression (MACP) and time scale, etc.
The Council also expressed optimism that the new Education minister will prioritise the issue which has been pending for a long time.
Furthermore, COTA assured to lend its full support and cooperation in the entire endeavour of the education department, especially the 'School Fagathansi' mission to bring the education sector on par with the modern standard in conformity with the New Education Policy (NEP), 2020 .
