Eat Right Mela held in Moreh; Kakching today

Food Safety Administration, Tengnoupal organised an "Eat Right Walkathon & Eat Right Mela" at Ayush Hospital, Moreh Sub-Division, on Wednesday to create awareness on maintaining a healthy living lifestyle.
The walkathon flagged off by Tengnoupal DC Mannuamching started from Public Health Centre (PHC) Gate and ended at Sub-district Hospital, Moreh.
In the run to the 75th Independence Day celebration 'Har Ghar Tiranga' campaigns are being held in every villages with the village authorities, civil organisations and the public participating with full cooperation to the district administration.
The farmers displayed organic food items in the stalls opened in the venue and prizes were also distributed for painting competition held for school children.
The event was also attended by Moreh ADC Laishram Bobbi Singh, Tengnoupal CMO Dr Kh Gojen Singh, DLOs and public.
Meanwhile, Food Safety Administration, Kakching will organise "Eat Right Walkathon arid Eat Right Mela" on Friday at Kakching Mayai Leikai multipurpose community hall.
The objective of organis ing the mela is to promote the theme "Eat Safe, Eat Healthy and Eat Sustainable" under the direction of Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) and additional Food Safety commissioner/director of Health Services.
The first part of the event, Eat Right Walkathon, would be from Irabot Park, Kakching bazaar till Kakching Mayai Leikai community hall while the second, Eat Right Mela would consist Cultural, Music Drama and Yoga/Aerobics sessions.
Resource persons will also talk on various fields related to food safety.
Stall showcasing local food items (packaged as well as prepared) will also be displayed.
