66th State Open Badminton Championships : Bidyasagar Salam, Thiyam Matic Rohe ease into men's singles last 16 round

Bidyasagar Salam of Imphal West, Thiyam Matic Rohe of Imphal East, Leishangthem Unilkumar of Thoubal and Sirzeet Moirangthem of Imphal East clinched easy wins in the men's singles round of 3 2 in the ongoing 66th State Open Badminton Championships.
Bidyasagar Salam eased to 21-5 21-9 win over Thaimei Gaijutlung of ACDBA to progress into the last 16 stage of the men's singles competition as Reingahan Kasar of Ukhrul notched up a 21-11 21-8 win over Augustine Athew of Senapati.
Chingangbam Ritesh Singh of IW also secured an easy 21-921-9 over Ukhrul's R Chuingachan Shimray while Ningthoujam Siamond Kumar sealed a 21-8 21-13 win over Konthoujam Arvind in an all Imphal West clash.
The day also saw Imphal East's Jomi Singam beat Sorokhaibam Manishana of Thoubal 21-15 21-18; Kalenyai Khwairakpam of BDBA beat Takhelambam Kishan of IW 21-15 21-11; Konthoujam Dingku of BDBA beat Oinam Aimson 21-15 22-20; Jenus Singh Kangjam of IW beat Atom Powerman of IE; Kh Allwinson of ACDBA beat Sm Faqoor Ahmed of TDBA 21-9 21-12; Hemam Malemnganba of BDBA beat YBudha of JDBA 21-2, 21-5; Thiyam Matic Rohe of IE beat Longjam Anthony of IE 21-7, 21-3; Nongthombam Avinash of IE beat Sarangthem Joychandra of IW 21-11, 21-14; Leishangthem Unilkumar of TDBA beat Tushan Yumnam of IW 21-3, 21-5; Ksh Devajit of IW beat Kingson Thono of KJDBA 21-15 21-7 and Sirzeet Moirangthem of IE beat Maisnam Rishi 21-8 21-4 in other round of 32 matches.
Chandrakanta Mayanglambam of IE also got a walk over against Naorem Roshan of Kakching to secure a round of 16 ticket today.
