Har Ghar Tiranga campaign on full swing

As observed across the country, Har Ghar Tiranga campaign is going on in full swing as several activities have been taken up across the State today to commemorate 75 glorious years of India's Independence.
CHURACHANDPUR
As a part of Har Ghar Tiranga (HGT) campaign, District Administration Churachandpur under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Sharath Chandra Arroju, IAS carried out a Walkathon from MiniSecretariat, Tuibong to Public Ground, Hiangtam Lamka today.
Holding and waving the Tricolour, DLOs and their staff, Churachandpur based philanthropic organisations participated in the Walkathon to commemorate Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and spread awareness about HGT.
KANGPOKPI
District Administration Kangpokpi today organised a social service drive to clean up the premises of the Deputy Commissioner's Office Complex.
As part of the campaign, District Administration Kangpokpi displayed hoardings at 5 different locations within the district namely Gamgiphai, Yaikongpao, Motbung, Leikop and Kangpokpi Headquarters.
Posters provided by the Directorate of Information and Public Relations, Government of Manipur have been displayed at the DC Office Complex and offices of other departments.
The Office of the Zonal Education Officer also organised painting and slogan writing competition at various schools namely Karakhul High School, Keithelmanbi Junior High School, Kalapahar High School, Tumnoupokpi High School, Kangpokpi High School and Kholjang Junior High School.
Moreover, BJP Sadar Hills also kicked off the HGT campaign today by organising a bike rally and football exhibition matches in Kangpokpi district.
The event was held at Dreamland Football Turf, Champhai while the bike rally was conducted along the National Highway-2.Textiles Minister, Nemcha Kipgen; BJP Manipur Pradesh vice president, N Nimbus Singh; and BJP Manipur Pradesh secretary, Paokam Haokip attended the event as presidium members.
BJP Sadar Hills president, Thangjamang Kipgen, BJP Mandal president of Kangpokpi, Saitu, Saikul, and other BJP leaders & karyakartas also took part in the event.
THOUBAL
Zonal Education Officer Zone in Thoubal under the aegis of District Administration, Thoubal today organised a Painting and Slogan competition at Khongjom War Memorial Complex, Khongjom in connection with HGT campaign and as a part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
NYK Thoubal and Lilong Ipham Leikai Development Club (LILDC) organised a "Tree Plantation Programme" at Lilong Mayai Leikai as a part of Swachhta Pakwada (Cleanliness Fortnight) and HGT campaign.
Social services were also held today at various Government offices in connection with the upcoming Independence Day celebration.
Moreover, as a part of HGT campaign, BJP Thoubal district also conducted a State Level Patriotic Recitation competition at MMRC Park, Khangabok today.
It was attended by BJP Manipur Pradesh president, A Saida Devi; Agriculture Minister, Thongam Biswajit; BJP Manipur Pradesh general secretary, P Premananda Meitei; M Priyokumar; BJP Thoubal District in-charge, K Inaocha Devi; BJP Thoubal District president, Y Kumarjit; social workers Kh Menjor Mangang and L Basanta.
UKHRUL
Somsai Battalion under the aegis of IGAR(S) also organised a bike rally at Ukhrul in connection with the HGT campaign on Tuesday.
Additional DIG 10 Sector Ukhrul, Anand Manwal flagged off the rally from Wino Outpost in the presence of Major Rahul Chawla, Adj Harish Ingavale and ex-servicemen.
As part of the programme, Assam Rifles also felicitated R Seisingla, wife of Late R Rangkhul who made supreme sacrifice for the Nation.
18 bikers from Hao Rider took part in HGT rally and covered a distance of 30 km from Wino to Mini Secretariat, District Hospital and Finch Comer before culminating at Shangshak Second World War Memorial Park to spread awareness on HGT campaign and promote the spirit of nationalism.
