AMUCO delegation leaves for Hojai

Imphal, August 10 2022:
A 12-member team of All Manipur United Clubs' Organisation (AMUCO) left Imphal to attend the inauguration of a statue of Bir Tikendrajit on August 13 at Jugijan village, Hojai, Assam which has been constructed by Village Development Committee and Shivapur Nabajyoti Club.
As per a release of AMUCO, the delegation led by its president Pheroijam Nando Luwang was flagged off from its office on Tuesday.
During the visit, the team will also meet various Meitei and Meitei Pangal communities settling in Hojai and Lanka to strengthen the age-old bond, it added.
AMUCO also mentioned that all the Manipuris in the state and outside should pay respect to the freedom fighters on days dedicated to their sacrifice and patriotism, so that they can emulate them and work for unity of Manipuris along with feeling proud of their ancestry.
Stating that Union will extend all the help it can to Manipuris in observance of Patriots' Day, AMUCO conveyed that it will provide monetary support to Takhel Leima Tengbang Lup and Manipuri Literary and Cultural Forum, Tripura for Patriots' Day observance to be held at Tarou Meitei Leikai, Agartala, Tripura.
