In a release, NSUC recalled the signing of an MoU between leaders of ATSUM, ANSAM and KSO Gen HQ and the state government repre sented by TA & Hills Letpao Haokip and HAC chairman Diganglung Gangmei, and members of HAC on August 7, in which the state government had agreed to the demands of ATSUM for tabling The Manipur Hill Areas District Councils Amendment Bill 2022 in the state assembly and thereafter refer to the Hill Areas Committee for further discussion with the stakeholders before recommending to the Manipur Legislative Assembly, and releasing of the arrested ATSUM leaders unconditionally.
