Imphal, March 02 2022:
Wangjing Tentha Block Congress Committee has contended that Khongjom Bazar shed was dismantled and Sapam IVR dug out without any policy programme and work order.
Issuing a statement in this regard, Wangjing Tentha BCC spokesperson Md Muzafar Ali enquired how a government property was allowed to be dismantled by an individual who claimed to be a social worker without any approval of the government or without possessing work order.
These illegal activities came to light when the BCC enquired returning officer regarding the matter in view of the ongoing election process, he added.
According to RO report, only the name of social worker was written without the address.
There is a suspicion that the social worker might be one Heigrujam Ibochou Singh, son of late H Shyam Singh of Khongjom Bazar.
Moreover, sector officer claimed that the social worker is not affiliated to any political party.
Yet, BJP flag is hoisted at the residence of Ibochou, he added.
The sector officer should make sure that the social worker is made known to the public and well documented in government record legally, Muzafar Ali said, while demanding taking up of legal actions by authorities concerned to avert possible public movement.
