RIMS organises Swachhta Health Camp

As a part of the Swachhta Action Plan 2022-23, Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal on Sunday a Swachhta Health Camp at Leimakon Regional Institute, Nambol Laitonjam.
The camp was held in collaboration with Leimakon Trust & Laitonjam Youth & Students' Club, Nambol Laitonjam Mayai Leikai, Bishnupur district.
Education minister Thounaojam Basanta visited the health camp and shared a moment with RIMS medical superintendent Prof N Sanjib Singh and members of the club and Leimakon Trust.
The RIMS medical superintendent after opening the health camp encouraged the gathering to avail the benefits of the health camp and also asked those who missed out the day's camp to visit RIMS hospital on a convenient day.
During her speech, Leimakon Trust founder member Leitanthem Jibanlata Devi, informed that the health camp was organised in view of changing of season and rising heat wave which may simultaneously lead to health problem in both children and adults.
She thanked the RIMS authority and the medical team for helping and providing treatment facility especially for older persons and kids who are unable to visit hospital frequently.
A total of 225 people were screened during the health camp, which was conducted under the supervision of doctors of six departments of RIMS, namely Obst & Gynaecology, Orthopaedics, Paediatrics, Dental, Eye and Medicine.
The doctors and staff from the six departments dedicatedly catered to the patients' need during health camp where medicines, were also distributed to the patients at free of cost, said RIMS in a press release.
