Imphal, April 30 2023:
The Manipur Civil Services Combined Competitive (Preliminary) Examination 2022 was held across several centres in Imphal today.
Held in two shifts-morning and evening, the examination was conducted by the Manipur Public Service Commission (MPSC) .
Meanwhile, around 60 candidates were not allowed to enter the examination hall at DM College because they arrived late.
While instruction was given to candidates to arrive at the examination venue 10 minutes before the scheduled commencement of the examination, the candidates arrived late and hence they were denied entry, said sources.
Disappointed, the candidates, on the other hand, claimed that they were late as they came across a rally of the NCC in the campus and were stuck there for sometime.
Also, they had to search for parking space as MPSC did not provide one, the candidates claimed.
Several other candidates also claimed that they were not allowed to sit in the examination as they did not bring with them Aadhaar or any other identity cards.
They claimed that the admit card issued by the MPSC which contains instructions has no mention of such.
They said the admit card contains no instruction to bring identity proof/Aadhaar card and appealed to the Government to arrange an alternative way for them to compete in the examination.
