HL Thangjalal Memorial Park opened

Lok Sabha MP Dr Lorho S Pfoze formally opened a park developed in the name of late pastor of Aimol Chingnunghut HL Thangjalal, who was killed in an unfortunate incident that took place between Aimol Chingnunghut village and Aimol Khunyai village on September 26, 2000 .
MP Dr Lorho opened the park on Sunday in the presence of Rajya Sabha MP Leishemba Sanajaoba and Tengnoupal MLA D Korungthang.
The inauguration event was also attended by DC (Tengnoupal) Naorem Praveen Singh, religious leaders, village chiefs, village authority members, Aimol Tribe Union Manipur (ATLIM) president Murithuireng Aimol and other tribe leaders.
Representatives from various organisations also attended the event and offered floral tributes to memorial site of HL Thangjalal.
After unveiling the memorial stone of HL Thangjalal erected at the park, Dr Lorho prayed that opening of the park will bring peace and harmony among humans.
He also strongly called for forgetting past incidents and concentrating more on future life.
Manipur Baptist Convention (MBC) general secretary Rev K Losii spread the message of God acting as messenger of the event.
Mention may be made here that HL Thangjalal was killed during a conflict that took place between villagers of Aimol Chingnunghut and Aimol Khunyai on September 26, 2000 over ownership of a playground.
The clash also left 23 others injured.
Regarding the incident, Aimol Khunyai Village Authority performed necessary customary formalities on September 21 thereby resolving all differences between the two neighbouring villages.
