Imphal, August 27 2026: One host of North East Window TV and a panellist who took part in a discussion programme on the topic "Outcome of CM Khemchand's meeting with Amit Shah" have tendered apology to the public for allegedly portraying the Campaign for Just and Fair Delimitation (JFD) in the wrong light regarding the ongoing mass movement for updating the NRC before census.

The discussion programme's host Hiyai Leima alias Tongbram Haripriya and HRD chairman and MPDF co-coordinator Kishorchandra Wangkhemcha tendered apologies to the people in front of JFD convenor Jeetendra Ningomba and other JFD leaders at Citizen Club, Soibam Leikai today.

Hiyai Leima alias Haripriya also accepted a six months' ban imposed by JFD from hosting the TV discussion programme.

Accepting that he made certain remarks which portrayed the "No NRC, No Census" movement in the wrong light, Kishorchandra Wangkhemcha said that he would never ever commit such mistakes in the future.

He also accepted the six month's social boycott announced by JFD and its Task Force against him.
