ANSAM holds 2nd legislative assembly

The second Legislative Assembly for the 2020 - 22 tenure of All Naga Students' Association, Manipur (ANSAM) was held on Saturday at Phyapou village, Tahamzam (Senapati district) with Poumai Naga Student Students' Union (PNTM) as the host.
The day-long assembly, which was attended by representatives of all but one out of the 19 constituent units and subordinate bodies, commended with unveiling of monolith of the 2nd Federal Assembly by ANSAM president and hoisting its flag.
The Assembly began with invocation led by SFS School principal Fr Roy MD followed by self-introduction of the members and observance of a minute's silence in honour of the departed leaders and members including former PNTM president Th Abraham Ngade and ZB advisor Athuan Abonmai.
As a part of the session, Legislative Assembly speaker Newman Polah tabled the agenda and called for discussion and business hour which subsequently adopted the resolution on various issues including revision of proceedings of the 1st Legislative Assembly, current pressing issues pertaining to tribal in Manipur, Indo-Naga peace process and social-political issues.
