Minister Dingo inspects Pengba farm

Imphal, July 14 2022:
Fisheries minister Heikham Dingo inspected Regional Pengba Farm, which is a project of the state government, located at Kumbi Haotak on Thursday and assured of addressing all inadequacies besieging the farm.
Speaking to newspersons, minister Dingo informed that inspection of fish farms has been taken up under the supervision of CM N Biren for increasing fish production in the state so as to become self-sufficient in fish production.
Acknowledging dearth of both water and staff in the farm, the minister assured of doing the needful without further delay while affirm ing that he will try his best to help produce sufficient quantity of indigenous fish 'pengba' from the farm.
He then appealed to the people not to be very choosy in taking up jobs but to contribute their mite to make the state self-sufficient particularly in fish production.
Minister H Dingo was accompanied by Kumbi MLA S Premchandra during the inspection.
On Wednesday, minister Dingo inaugurated a 50-day free training programme on 'Biofloc' organised by Salam Inaocha Integrated Farming at Sanatombi Oriental English School, Kumbi.
The inaugural function was also attended by Kumbi MLA Premchandra as president and Thanga A/C MLA Tongbram Robindro as guest of honour.
Kumbi Municipal Council ward No 1 care taker councillor Loitongbam Babita Devi, former vice-chairperson Wahengbam Boby chand Luwang, Torbung GP Pradhan Chanam Sanahanbi Devi, Saiton GP pradhan Mayengbam Ibomcha, Wangoo GP pradhan nominee Amom Keshwojit and members of different GPs took part in the function.
