For effective district-wide enforcement of the Manipur Plastic Policy, 2022 and as part of its concerted efforts towards curbing single-use plastic, Sadar Hills Autonomous District Council (SHADC), Kangpokpi organised a one-day awareness programme with license holder shopkeepers of Kangpokpi district headquarters at its conference hall on Thursday.

He further said that the government's plastic policy is for the welfare of all and public must enthusiastically adhere to it.
He also said that a shop-to-shop drive within Kangpokpi town will be conducted anytime in the presence of all concerned authorities/representatives including police.
Meanwhile, SHADC Kangpokpi executive officer Limminthang Haokip distributed copy of the order issued by the government for banning use of single-use plastic to all the licence holder shopkeepers after the awareness programme.
