Lecture on tricolour, meeting held

Phundrei Battalion of IGAR (S) organised 'Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav' in view of upcoming 75th Independence Day at Wabagai village in Kakching district on Thursday during which the locals, including children, were educated about the national flag and the national anthem.
They were also acquainted with the rules and regulations with respect to display of flag and its importance and various things to be kept in mind while using it.
A total of 52 villagers attended the event.
Meanwhile, Mantripukhri Battalion of IGAR (South) organised an interaction programme with meira paibi, youth club and village development committee at Wairi village community hall in Imphal East district on Thursday to strengthen the bond with locals for maintaining peace and harmony.
The participation of meira paibi, youth and village development committee was very healthy, said the PRO in an other release, adding that the meet focused on measures to empower youth and women and also provide platform for discussion on various issues being faced.
Altogether 40 individuals participated in the meeting.
The Battalion also organised an interaction programme with members of youth club of Koirengei Kabui at Koirengei Kabui community hall on Wednesday, which was attended by 20 members.
