Imphal, July 14 2022:
Manipur Cricket Association (MNCA) on Thursday cleared up doubts about the TW3 x-ray age-verification method adopted by BCCI.
In a press release the MNCA said, "With respect to the TW3 x-ray protocol followed by BCCI, for eligibility test to participate in BCCI Under-16 Vijay Merchant Tournament, parents/guardians/players should note that the TW3 bone age maturity test does not attempt to predict the chronological age of the player or being critical of the player's date of birth, but is a test purely of bone age or method of assessment of skeletal maturity for age verification purposes".
"The players and their parents/guardians should agree by the TW3 method to verify the age and the decision of the BCCI AVP department, with respect to eligibility, disqualification, etc shall be final and binding on all parties", it added.
