'Namsa Kadoi Bangei' celebration begins at Ijeirong

'Namsa Kadoi Bangei (Get-together cum reconciliation & blessing celebration) programme, which is being held under the theme 'We find Forgiveness and Blessing in Christ', was kicked-off by water resources minister Awangbow Newmei as chief guest by unveiling the celebration monolith at Ijeirong British Bombarded Ground under Haochong sub-division here on Friday.
The inaugural programme was also attended by Tamenglong MLA Janghemlung Panmei as guest of honour and Sunbird Trust CEO retired colonel Christopher Rego as special guest.
During the event, Christopher also released the 'History & Souvenir' of the celebration.
The three-day celebration will also be attended by Tangkhul Church, Delhi senior pastor reverend Dr Mathanmi Zimik and Inpui Naga Baptist Churches Association (INBCA) executive secretary reverend AL Khumba as resource persons.
During the inaugural function, guests were enthralled by performances from Anutam Riamroi, Dinreliu Bariam, Deliver and Bezaleel Bariam along with presentation of various gospel numbers by the choir group of Longmai Part-2 Baptist Church.
The celebration was marked by presenting of special gifts to people of Ijeirong village who are now residing in other parts of the nation.
It can be mentioned that 'Namsa Kadoi Bangei' revolves around forgiveness, reconciliation and blessing.
People who have migrated/married out of the village are invited back to attend the auspicious occasion.
The event will included laying of the alter of forgiveness and reconciliation from each other for any past wrongdoings.
There will be invoking of God's blessing over their land and their people and seeking of God's name for healing, love, peace and both spiritual and materials blessings in their endeavours.
