Tributes paid to martyred soldier, ESM meet held

Imphal, December 03 2022: Keithelmanbi Battalion of IGAR (South) organised a wreath laying ceremony in honour of the supreme sacrifice made by rifleman (late) Shri Bhagwan at Keithelmanbi Garrison in Imphal West district on Saturday.

In a release, PRO IGAR (S) informed that the Battalion honoured the brave-heart who made the supreme sacrifice for the cause of the nation on December 3 in 2016 at Nginu, Arunachal Pradesh.

All ranks of the Battalion paid their respect by laying wreaths and according guard of honour.

Meanwhile, Phundrei Battalion of IGAR (South) orgah-ised an interaction with the ex-servicemen of Indian Army and Assam Rifles to reach out to veterans and widows of Kakching district on Saturday.

According to PRO IGAR (S), the focus of the event was to make the mass aware about the latest benefits and welfare schemes.

Moreover, the forum provided a comprehensive resolution to grievances of ex-servicemen especially pension anomalies and ameliorating day to day problems of the veterans.

The event was attended by 14 ex-servicemen and it marked as a positive step towards addressing their impending issues and resolving them, added the PRO in another release.
