Cong leaders meet Loktak fishers

Imphal, November 21 2022:
Congress party's state leaders met fish farmers living in the surrounding area of Loktak Lake and enquired about their grievances on the occasion of World Fisheries Day on Monday.
A team of Congress leaders comprising All India Fishermen Congress national vice-chairman Ningombam Bhupenda, Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee general secretaries Amir Hussain, Meghachandra Mangangcha and Wahidur Rahman, Bishnupur District Congress Committee president Nur Rahman and Thanga Block Congress Committee president N Birbabu visited Loktak Lake and interacted with fish farmers for around four hours.
Speaking to the fishers, Bhupenda assured of Congress party's support in ensuring welfare for fish farmers and urged them to approach the party on any issue or grievances so that they could raise the same at the right forum for redressal.
