Security meet, cleanliness drive conducted

Imphal, November 21 2022:
To create a friendly and conducive environment, Loktak Battalion of IGAR (South) organised a security meet with village chiefs of Ningthiching and adjoining villages in Bishnupur district on Monday.
In a release, PRO IGAR (S) informed that as a first step towards the cohesion with local populace, the Battalion addressed various security related issues especially during 'the Sangai Festival being organised in the AOR.
They were further briefed'on issues of drug abuse and illicit drug trafficking and unemployment amongst youth.
They were also assured by the team of Assam Rifles to provide assistance.
Village chiefs and their representatives also promised to work in conjunction and eradicate the same.
The event was attended by 17 village chiefs and their representatives.
Meanwhile, Keithelmanbi Battalion of IGAR (South) conducted a cleanliness drive with villagers at Nambol in Bishnupur district on Monday to promote Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and clear! and green India.
The event was also aimed at inculcating a positive attitude.among loeal people towards healthy sanitation practices.
A total of 16 troops and 70 villagers participated in the drive with full zeal and enthusiasm.
