Polo: IEDPA steamroll LPC en route to semis, PPC seal remaining QF spot

Imphal East District Polo Association served up a goal feast on their way to the semifinals of the 1st Chief Minister's Sagol Kangjei Championship 2022 while Paradise Polo Club secured the remaining quarterfinal spot.
The Imphal East riders produced a ruthless display against their tame opponents with a 44-0 thrashing of Lamphel Polo Club en route to the semifinals.
Thokchom Jocob Singh dazzled with his mallet hammering 13 goals as Okram Rozer Singh and Thangjam Basanta Singh claimed six goals apiece, Umesh Gurung and Mongbijam Bilam Singh picked up five goals each, Thoudam Momocha Singh scored four goals, Laiphrakpam Kokeshow Singh grabbed a treble, and Loitam Tolongkhomba contributed a double in their side's overwhelming victory.
Meanwhile, Paradise PC ensured their place in the quarterfinals with a thrilling 12-11 win over Assam Rifles Polo Team.
Moirangthem Anand Singh and Thangjam Bhagat Kumar led the scoring for Paradise, claiming thee goals each, while Konjengbam Samananda Singh did his bit with a double and Nameirakpa Philip Singh, Yaikhom Pritam Singh, Konsam Premkumar Singh and Kshetrimayum Shantikumar Singh added one goal each for the winning side.
Assam Rifles, on the other hand, scored through Kh Sushilo (6 goals), Md Riyakat Ali (2), Thokchom Premananda (2) and K Chandrakumar (1) .
