Committee formed to oversee Covid ex-gratia disbursement

Imphal, March 09 2022:
The state government has constituted District Di saster Management Authority (DDMA) to oversee the disbursement of ex-gratia assistance to families/next kin of Covid-19 victims.
As per a release issued by Relief & Disaster Management director KG Daigong, the deputy commissioner of each district will be chairperson of the DDMA committee while ADC chairpersons would co-chair, and superintendents of police, chief medical officers, PWD executive engineers and district supply officers would be members.
Additional deputy commissioner/additional district magistrate would be chief executive officer of the DDMA/DA.
Furthermore, as per the guideline for Covid-19 deaths issued by Ministry of Health & Family Welfare and Indian Council of Medical Research, districts concerned has been informed to constitute a committee consisting of additional district collector, chief medical officer, additional CMO/HoD Medicine of a medical college and subject expert for issuance of the official documents/certification of Covid-19 deaths.
