MoS Ranjan for strengthening healthcare sector

Union minister of state for external affairs and education Dr RK Ranjan said that he will discuss the plan for strengthening the healthcare sector of the state with the union health and family welfare minister.
Attending as chief guest of the World Sight Day 2022 observance cum 7th foundation day celebration of Horizon Hospital and Research Institute held at the hospital premises, Porompat, here on Thursday, the union MoS stressed the need for public support in strengthening healthcare sector.
The Modi government is implementing various schemes in the healthcare sector to provide a healthy lifestyle and affordable treatment as well as medicine to the people.
PMJAY of the Central and government and CMHT of the state government are providing cashless treatment benefits to poor families, he said.
He also appreciated Horizon Hospital and Research Institute for its contribution in the healthcare sector.
Managing director of the hospital Dr Yambem Yaima presided over the function while Lions Club of Imphal East president A Jayantakumar Sharma attended as guest of honour.
A free eye screening camp was also conducted as part of the World Sight Day observance organised in association with Lions Club of Imphal East.
