Drawing competition, cleanliness drive organised

Imphal, October 15 2022:
Somsai Battalion of IGAR (South) organised a drawing competition for students of Kalhang Primary School at Kalhang village in Ukhrul district on Saturday.
In a release, PRO IGAR (S) informed that 52 students of the school from Class I to V participated in the drawing competition.
The young minds were excited and thrilled to express their vividness on paper as evident on their faces.
The much-awaited event was acknowledged and received by the students and school staff with vigour and enthusiasm.
As a token of appreciation and encouragement to the budding minds, the best drawings were scrutinised and awarded.
Equally elated were the non-winners who received the consolation prizes.
The event culminated with light refreshments to the students and the teaching staff, the PRO said, adding that with the lasting impressions of the Security Forces, the conduct of the event has garnered the local support for more such events in the future for the youth and students.
Meanwhile, Shangshak Battalion of IGAR (South) organised special cleanliness campaign 2.0 to promote Swachh Bharat Abhiyan at Shangshak village in Ukhrul district on Saturday.
According to PRO IGAR (S), the cleanliness drive was not only an effort to clean the surroundings but also an endeavour to motivate and encourage the local populace to keep their surroundings clean and litter-free.
