Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal observed Global Hand Washing Day at its Jubilee Hall at Lamphelpat, today.
RIMS Director Prof L Ranjit Singh distributed certificates and cash rewards to the prize winners of the RIMS Hospital Wards Cleanliness Contest today, said a statement issued by media advisor of RIMS, N Philip Singh.
The contest was held on October 2 last to select the cleanest ward/section/washroom of RIMS Hospital in connection with the National Cleanliness Day.
PMR Ward, Septic Ward and Post Natal Ward were declared as first, second and third of the contest respectively while Paediatric Ward, Psychiatry Ward, Casualty Ward, Antenatal Ward & Labour Room, Paediatric Emergency, Gynae Ward, Female Ortho Ward, Female Surgery Ward I & IV, Male Ortho, Neuro ICU and Uro Ward were given consolation prizes.
Postnatal & Female Medicine Ward Toilet Complex, Casualty Emergency Toilet Complex and PMR Toilet Complex were given first, second and third prizes respectively in the Cleanest Washroom category.
Further, prizes for outstanding performance for their duty were awarded to Kh Mina Devi, Nursing Sister, Gynae OPD and L Nirmala, Nursing Sister, Burn Ward.
Best Nurse, Best Attendant have been awarded to M Binashakhi Devi and Haobam Premjit Singh while Best Housekeeping prizes were given to Ayekpam Sandhyarani Devi and Laishram Rabikanta Singh.
Best Security awards were conferred to L Devananda Singh (ASO MSS) and Yanglem Jayenta Singh (Supervisor MSS) .
RIMS Director Prof L Ranjit Singh congratulated all the prize winners for their services.
Prof N Sanjib Singh, Medical Superintendent of RIMS Hospital also extended his appreciation to all the employees of the healthcare institute, appealing to all the staff to win an award in the Kaya Kalp competition.
Other staff of RIMS also
attended the function.
