On CM's advice, PWD team visits Naamai Zho

With the intervention of chief minister N Biren Singh, a team of PWD engineers and contractor visited the tourist site at Naamai Zho village in Koide area under Purul sub-division of Senapati district on Saturday.
Locals led by Koide Union president Th Thoho and village leaders met and interacted with the visiting team which included additional chief engineer-II N Subhas, SE (national highway circle) Ch Biswachandra, EE (Senapati division) K Lokho Chalai, SO Siddhartha Singh and special contractor Konwar.
While informing the village leaders that CM Biren is very keen to develop Naamai Zho to attract more tourists from outside Manipur not only during festivities but throughout the seasons, the team assured of developing the approach road at the earliest and sought help and support from the villagers.
Naamai Zho is situated around 10 km from National High way-2 and one has to travel through Maram Bazaar before entering the site which is around 3 km away from Koide-Purul Road.
Interestingly, the development has come after the visit of Manipur Legislative Assembly Press Advisory Committee members at Naamai Zho on September 25 and 26, 2022 and interacted with Koide Union leaders, who also submitted a memorandum addressed to the CM for developing the approach road and construction of requisite infrastructure at the tourist spot.
While expressing happiness over the CM's quick response, the Koide Union leaders also thanked the PWD team and SP Senapati Karthik Malladi, who posted the cosmos blooming site on social media appealing to people to visit the mesmerizing Naamai Zho.
Moreover, a police team from Purul PS has been stationed every weekend at the site to provide security and prevent any untoward incident.
