JAC sets 48-hr deadline to arrest culprits

In connection with the mysterious death of one Md Mujibur Rahaman (37), who was found dead at Lilong Haoreibi Mayai Leikai Nganglou Loukol under Lilong PS, a public meeting was organised at Lilong Turel Ahanbi Khongnang Makhong Makha on Saturday evening.
During the meeting, a JAC was formed and various resolutions including launching of intense agitation after 48 hours were also adopted.
Speaking at the meeting, Mujibur's grandfather Roushan Ali expressed that the people are well aware of the suspicious circumstances surrounding his grandson's death, as is being circulated on social media platforms.
He then urged the police department to conduct a thorough investigation into the killing and arrest the person(s) responsible.
JAC convenor Kh Ziaur Rahaman informed that after a detailed discussion, the JAC is demanding for the culprits to be arrested within 48 hours and punished accordingly, failing which intense agitations will be launched in collaboration with other CSOs of the state.
