State logs 15 new cases, active tally rises

Imphal, August 30 2022:
Number of active cases of Covid-19 in the state rose to 59 on Tuesday as government bulletins reported 15 new positive cases from six districts out of 510 samples tested in the last 24 hours, thus, registering a positivity rate of 2.9 per cent.
The 15 fresh cases (3 males & 12 females) are residents of Imphal West (8), Imphal East (2), Churachandpur (1), Bishnupur (2), Kakching (1) and Ukhrul (1) districts.
Tuesday also reported 12 recoveries from home isolation (10) and RIMS (2) .
Number of active cases rose to 59, out of which 32 are in home isolation.
No death case was reported on Tues day and the death toll stands at 2147 lives including seven CAPF personnel.
So far, the virus had infected 1,39,697 individuals including 5,020 CAPF personnel.
There are 36 vacant beds available in JNIMS and 59 in RIMS.
In the last 24 hours, 411 D type and 103 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities and 3775 vaccine doses were administered on Tuesday and it took the cumulative number of vaccinated population to 16,29,436, out of which 13,03,647 had received the second dose and 2,43,384 had taken precautionary doses.
As per data maintained by The People's Chronicle based on IDSP and CCR reports, number of total cases in different districts are Imphal West (49777), Imphal East (32017), Thoubal (10288), Churachandpur (11267), Kangpokpi (3183), Tamenglong (3496), Bishnupur (9968), Senapati (2545), Ukhrul (3363), Kakching (6972), Chandel (2789), Noney (1173), Tengnoupal (1210), Jiribam (1118), Kamjong (1053) and Pherzawl (476) .
Fatality counts in different districts are Imphal West (711), Imphal East (517), Thoubal (192), Churachandpur (169), Kangpokpi (70), Tamenglong (17), Bishnupur (206), Senapati (13), Ukhrul (52), Kakching (124), Chandel (43), Noney (5), Tengnoupal (16), Jiribam (7), Kamjong (5) and Pherzawl (0) .
