Toll free helpline STREE launched

Thoubal, August 30 2022: In connection with the observance of birth anniversary of former Prime Minister (late) Rajiv Gandhi, Thoubal District Mahila Congress Committee on Tuesday launched 'Support Team for Relief, Emergency and Empowerment (STREE)' at Congress Bhavan, Thoubal with an aim to assist female victims of various forms of violence.

Speaking on the side lines of the launch programme, Committee president L Ngambi Devi informed that remembering the sacrifices and dreams of Rajiv Gandhi to empower women and as part of the observance of his birth anniversary, the helpline has been launched and urged all concerned to contact the toll free helpline number (18002030589) to avail all possible prompt assistance.
